Creating a login
To contribute to the OREMA project you need to be a member. Membership is free and open to anyone who is interested. You can signup for an OREMA account be simply clicking the
create new account link underneath the login portal. You will need a valid email address as a confirmation email will be sent to you to verify the account. Sometimes these emails end up in peoples spam mailbox, so be sure to check that before reporting any problems.
New members
Now that you are a member there are a number of things you might want to do to become part of the OREMA community. Although there are forums within the website itself there are other ways that members communicate with one another. The first way is the
OREMA googlegroup. It is recommenced that all participants join this group in order to keep up-to-date with what is happening within the community. It is also a place for members to ask relevant questions to other members.
It is possible to subscribe to content types so that you receive email notifications when other users upload new content or comment on certain content types. You can subscribe to content by clicking the subscribe to: post of type [content type], which can be found underneath the search box on the right hand side of any page of that particular content type. This works for both analyses and analytical tools. For forum updates you have to subscribe to specific threads. It is recommended that if you post an response or question within a particular thread that you also subscribe to that some thread, so that you are notified of responses.
Contributing to the project
In the navigation menu on the left hand side of any page on the website you'll find a drop-down menu called Add content. Here you can select to add content to the website. Follow the onscreen instructions and ensure all relevant text boxes are filled. If completely correctly the analysis or analytical tool will be automatically added to the relevant pages for you.
There are a number of ways to contribute to the OREMA project. You can: submit an analysis of an electroacoustic work, add an analytical tool to the analytical toolbox or post a forum topic. Also, most pages on the site allow users to submit comments. Remember that other members do subscribe to certain content types, so if you are making a minor alterations be sure to click the do not send notification checkbox before clicking the save button.
